Remembering Charlie Kirk

Ceilon Season 2 Episode 1

Send us a text

Yesterday, Charlie Kirk (31), was assassinated for his work in spreading the Gospel and encouraging young minds to think for themselves. I listened to him every morning on my way to work and have seen nearly all of his content since he started his organization: Turning Point USA (TPUSA) and was given the honor of being a TPUSA Alum for supporting his work despite a chapter having not been opened at my alma mater, Georgia Southern, at the time. I respected him as a strong man of Christ and as a brother in Christ. He was deeply influential in getting younger voters out to vote their faith in the last election and this world will be forever changed by his work. He is a martyr for Christ Jesus.

SPEAKER_00:

Hey everyone, this is Celan, host of the Reborn This Way podcast. I know it's been a while, but recently there was a big situation that kind of pricked my heart and reminded me that I have a purpose that God has given me in this world and I do Him a disservice by not using the resources He has given me. gave me and the prickling of my heart to continue to get his truth out there. I don't know if many of you know what happened yesterday. Today is September the 11th, 2025. Yesterday on September 10th, and forgive me if you can hear me getting emotional, but yesterday a man that I very, very much respected as a very godly man who wanted the success of this nation and the success of its people and for its people to know the love of Christ Charlie Kirk was assassinated forgive me for crying I very very very respected this man I consider him a brother I mean he is a brother he's a brother in Christ and now he's with Christ God God bless him he gets to see the Lord face to face now but yesterday seeing what happened and knowing why is very clearly why he was killed he was killed for speaking truth to those who did not want to hear it and he would very famously go to campuses around the nation and speak to college students to get them to think because opposite of what the universities do now even though universities are supposed to be a place to inspire free thought developing you know what you believe in finding out the depth behind what you believe they don't do that anymore now they just indoctrinate i graduated in 2016 and thank god i finished before it really got bad but um my last year of college I was a history major and a writing minor and my history professors were pretty normal but my writing professors were very very liberal left wing and I knew that I couldn't speak my mind then if I wanted to just get out of college and finish and pass I was probably the only person in my class in my writing classes who voted for Trump and it was and this isn't about who you voted for let me get that clear but what I'm pointing out is there's a distinction between those who want to actually see the truth for themselves and not allow others to tell them what to think and just think it because they've been told to and I had recently come to Christ or returned to Christ I can't say come because I already knew him and he knew me and he had been prickling my heart for years to return to him I've talked about in my testimony before at the time and being freshly returned to him I was I was very in the Bible and quite into studying and getting to know the Lord and and refreshing my relationship with him which I praise him for because I couldn't do it without him I would never have sought him out if he had not first started prickling my heart and using the Holy Spirit to to get my attention again um but at the time because I was so in the Bible and I was ready and willing to speak to other people about you know my return um I was in classes where they weren't welcoming of that and just to get by, which is a cowardly move on my half because I didn't do anything at the time and I didn't say anything or, you know, oppose much because I just wanted to get college done with. I just let, I let my professors say things in my hearing that weren't true, they Especially when it came to people who voted for Trump, because being one who did, I got to hear in class what my professors thought of people who voted for Trump or voted the Republican ticket. And they have not stopped with that rhetoric since then. I wish I could say it's only just started, but it has been in campuses for years again. Like I said, I graduated in 2016 as a history major. It has not let up. It's only gotten worse since then. I interact with youth that go to my church who are currently in college now and it's not a good look for colleges that they continue to let this kind of rhetoric go without at least having the opposite view there to level it out. They don't want they don't want to hear truth and that is pretty evident now especially since Charlie Kirk was murdered for doing exactly what most of us should already be doing is being the voice of reason in a culture that does not want to hear truth I've been recently reading through I'm doing my bible in a year and I'm currently reading through Ezekiel and I just read the chapter where God is talking to Ezekiel about how he has been selected to be the watchman of Israel and God specifically tells him you know I've picked you as my watchman you need to go to the masses and you tell them warn them what is coming and if you don't warn them and they die in their sin then their blood is also on his hands not only is it on their own hands but is also on Ezekiel's hands but if Ezekiel warns them as God has tasked him to do and the people still reject his warning then that blood is no longer on his hands and Charlie Kirk was a man who did that he knew what his purpose was that he was tasked by God to be someone who spoke reason to the masses. First off, because he loves this nation. Loved, I'm sorry. He loved this nation and he wanted to see everyone he could learn the truth and turn to Christ. And he was killed for it because they didn't want to listen. You know, one of the things Jesus said to the uh pharisees was you know your your ancestors killed the prophets well we see i mean charlie crook wasn't technically a prophet of the old testament but he had a prophetic mind and he could see where this nation it was rolling towards he could see that it's spiraling down towards darkness and he is a watchman who had light that he wanted to use to shine and warn everyone And our enemy, Satan, does not like that. And he used someone who was twisted by the evil narratives of the truth-rejecting left to kill Charlie Kirk. And it wasn't just, you know, I saw the footage and I really wish I hadn't because there are some things you can't unsee that you wish you never did and I know I wasn't prepared for it and it was I knew that he was dead the moment that he got shot and I'm not going to get graphic but I was in the military and have seen not first hand but through training different injuries and different trauma that comes with gunshot wounds and I could tell in that second that I'm pretty sure that regardless of him going to the hospital he was probably brain dead but he had already passed and I thank God for that he probably felt nothing and I'm grateful that the Lord kept him from feeling that and Sorry. But we need to remember that, you know, a lot of people want to say don't politicize it or don't, you know, it's both the fault of both sides. To me, it's the fault of only one side. When it comes to the Lord, there is only one right and there is only one wrong. Anything that goes against Christ, goes against God, goes against His will, And what is true and what he has told us is good and faithful and true is wrong. And we need not look further than the narratives that have been pushed by the left constantly. When we hear about abortion, which is a destruction of life, regardless of whatever semantics people want to come up with to try to justify it, it's still evil and wrong. and it destroys not only the life of the child but it just destroys the mother and those who would have loved that baby and then you get to the transgenderism issue which we have learned i've been keeping track of what's been going on and we've learned that the weapon was recovered that the bullet rounds i don't know why they are so deceptive right things on bullets as it's to send a message but there was transgender rhetoric and anti-fascist rhetoric on it which I find very hypocritical because the fascists are the ones who silence voices of reason and truth in a nation and Charlie Kirk was not doing that Charlie Kirk encouraged people to come and speak with him to share their opinion even if they differed every interaction that he ever had with someone who disagreed with him have always been the escalation coming from the one who disagreed with him and wanted to shut him down and force him to cave to their views and their frustration came mostly from him not giving in to their pressure granted he had no he was never going to give in to that pressure he had Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior at his back every moment and you could tell that that's why he was so geared towards going and talking to these college students and he was if he was afraid he never showed it because I could never see in any of his speeches in any of his video clips I've listened to him on his podcast um for years now and he has never sounded afraid he has always been i will do what i must to get the truth out and i will not let people silence the truth just because they don't like it um he was a very very strong courageous man and you only get that kind of strength and courage from from jesus christ and i praise god for him having been a part of this world because i can tell you that he has definitely helped me for he was only a couple years younger than me i'm 33 he was about to turn 32 he was born in 93 i was born in 92 we would have we were probably i think we were part of the same graduating class of high school because I was uh I was moved back a year with my sisters when we were in middle school but this this man knew even in high school I wish I knew known as sturdily as he did in high school how much Christ loved me and how much he loved the nation and I wish you know you have hindsight you wish you could go back but to see him that confident from such a young age and having continued that over the last 10 years it's admirable it's it's beautiful to watch because we need more men like that we and we do not have men like that in in our nation we don't have enough of them and I wish we did um again um I know I had to say something because i know that um his life can you know serve to convict me and not him himself but you look at his life and his total lack of fear and his ready willingness to die for what he believed in and you know i feel like you know i have a testimony that christ gave me that for the last couple years i haven't returned to sharing and speaking of and bringing light to and you know God gave me that testimony for a reason he didn't allow me to take the path I did into the realm of homosexuality just so that when I returned and he allowed me to repent and return to just sit there and not speak about it not speak about the lies the LGBT community tells the blatant lack of care And I mean, just the blatant lies that they share throughout their community and to the world about Christians, about how you can somehow be gay and Christian, which is impossible. I've experienced the impossibility of that because if you are a true Christian and you're living a debased lifestyle, you can't have peace. It's something you just can't attain while living in that lifestyle. Your spirit and the Holy Spirit when you're a Christian want to strive to become like Christ and to have a sin like homosexuality, to have any sin because all sins are equal as far as them bringing death to the one who practices it and destruction. But you can't live a peaceful life with Christ if you are sinning regardless of that sin and I know that I felt convicted when I watched you know all these people responding to the fact that Charlie died. And these are people that I've watched and I've listened to for the last... I mean, I came to Christ at 16, so it's been almost 10 years now. I pray that more people go and look him up and see what he did for this nation. And see what he did for Christ. His last words, not directly, but give me one second. Sorry about that. My husband came home. I needed to say hey to him. But yeah. How can we sit by and do nothing as Christians after someone like Charlie Kirk is murdered? for what he believed in. You know, Nero, for those who don't know who Nero was, he was the emperor of Rome during the time of the early Christian church. He was the one who had Paul put to death and many Christians put to death because he called them nuisances and believed that they were basically rats that needed to be put down. He blamed them for the burning of Rome which he did to Rome just so he could get rid of them but the more that he had them murdered tortured and publicly slaughtered for sport the more Christians kept coming and kept being one to Christ and that's because they saw people who were willing to lay down their lives for the truth of Christ for the salvation that he brought that we did not deserve. I wanted to read a few passages from Timothy, 2 Timothy, which I think are pretty relevant to what has gone on and what has happened. And these are from Paul. The first one is 2 Timothy 1, and we'll start at verse 7. For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but a power and love and discipline. Therefore do not be ashamed of the who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle and a teacher for this reason I also suffer these things but I am not ashamed for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted him until to him until that day and retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me in the faith and love which are in Jesus Christ guard through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us the treasures which have been entrusted to you and then I want to move down to chapter 2 starting verse 1 therefore my son be strong in the grace that is Jesus in Jesus Christ the things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses. Entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Suffer hardship with me as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No soldier in active service entangles himself in affairs of everyday life so that he may please the one who enlists him as a soldier. Also, if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not win the prize unless he The hard-working farmer ought to be the first to receive his share of the crops. For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen so that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory. This is a trustworthy statement. For if we die with him, we will also live with him. If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us. If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself. And then I'm going to move on to chapter 3, verses 1 and following. But realize this, that in the last days, difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, Brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power, avoid such men as these. For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women, weighed down with sins, led by various impulses. Always learning and never able to come Just as Janice and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also opposed the truth. Men of depraved mind rejected in regard to the faith. But they will not make further progress, for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Janice and Jambres' folly was also. Now you followed my teachings, conduct, purpose, and faith. Let's read it. deceiving and being deceived. You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from who you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof for correction, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. These passages not only describe what kind of godly man that Charlie Kirk was, but how evil the people are who are behind his death. And it's sad to say that he was persecuted unto death, just as as Paul was for Christ Jesus I don't believe anybody who says that oh it wasn't about his religion it was about his politics or who say it wasn't about his politics it was about his religion in this world we don't give the adequate thought to the spiritual warfare that is part of this world too many people in the world want to think that there is nothing as far as spiritual warfare that it's some kind of imaginary thing and it's not for the Christian the true Christian who sees this and is able to discern this they know that this is spiritual warfare out in the open that is unable to be just passed by and waved away this our enemy wants wants us to be afraid to speak out because he wants us to fear more for our lives than for giving our lives for Jesus as he gave his life for us and as Christians we are called to take up our cross and follow him and sometimes that cross means that we're going to go to the death with our testimony with our faith and with our love for Christ because this world hates him they don't want people to know that Jesus is the answer to all their problems they want us to turn to materialistic satanic things to trust in and we can't do that we need to stand strong and I pray that you know a revival in America comes from this revivals start with the young and he may have been 31 but he was a young man he was not in the prime he was right there getting started with the prime of his life he had two amazing children young children and a wife who loved him and they they put everything into their family and now there is a widow there with two children who are so young that they may not remember physically always being with their father and that's sad um I think we should all pray for his family we need to pray for this nation and we need to pray for the people who are so lost in hatred and rejection of truth that they think that the best option is to kill those who oppose them um they can be saved and if we pray for them not all of them will be it's only who the lord chooses but we can't let that stop us from praying for these people um they still haven't caught the man who killed him they have pictures they're trying to find him um that's in the lord's hands even if he does if justice doesn't come in this life justice will come in the next and the Lord will bring justice he is the God of justice and righteousness so we can have faith in knowing that even if that doesn't come now it will come and that should not stop us from continuing to preach the truth to those around us and to live our lives as an example to those that even if they see it they still reject it we are still called to be an example to those around us this. And this on the eve of the anniversary of 9-11. I don't want to get too much into the ideological side of 9-11, but I just thought it was... This is a tough week. I remember what happened. Everything that happened from that day. And this is another moment that I will remember everything that happened on the day that Charlie Kirk died just as much as I remember everything that happened. When the towers were attacked. And our nation was attacked. By a false religion. That just wants to murder everybody. And people can get upset about that. But that is truth. It is in their Bible. Which they call the Quran. Which is not the word of God. It is the word of demons. And more people need to speak up about that as well. But I'm not going to go too far into that. I will be posting more because I have a testimony and knowledge that Christ has allowed me to attain to, again, bring truth to people who don't want it or don't want it to be exposed. Please pray for Charlie Kirk's family. You don't need to pray for Charlie Kirk anymore. He is with his Lord and Savior. I'm confident that the moment that his eyes closed, that when he opened them again, he opened them and he saw Christ. Christ said, well done, my good and faithful servant, just as he did with Paul. who also was killed for his faith and for not relenting in the preaching of his faith in Christ. Thank you for listening if you stayed there this long. Please Like and subscribe to this podcast so that more people can hear it. I don't care about money. I'm not here to make money. I'm here to preach the word of the Lord. And to share my testimony with anybody else who will listen. And if just one other person hears it and it changes their life, I don't even have to know about it. It's just enough for me to share it. Because the Lord gave me this testimony to be shared. And... That is what I'm going to do. And... Please accept his gift of salvation because you do not know what the next day will bring. No one went into yesterday thinking that Charlie Kirk was going to die. I spend every day, every morning listening to his podcast updates from the night before. And this is the first day that I did not get to do that. And it struck a chord because I like to start my morning with godly people, with reading the Bible, with listening to people who speak truth. truth and it hurt to sit there and not be able to hear another person who spoke that truth there are other people but that was my routine it was always get up read my bible listen to charlie kirk on the way to work um Thank you guys for listening. God bless. And please share this. Share it with whoever you think needs to hear it. Again, I don't care about money. Just share it. God bless you and keep you. Bye.
